A Summer Dream

I had a dream about Summer.
Full of wonders, mysteries, adventure, and happiness.
Places to explore, people to meet.
I couldn't help but to sit and think.

Where does the time go? And what are we doing?
Wasting the light with pointless hours of exhausting things.
The night is pointless when there is nothing to say.
Please teach me your ways, show me how to be free.

For I want to live this Summer Dream.

Its Been Awhile...

Hello everyone, it has probably been a month or so since our last post. To those who has actually kept up with the blog, sorry! But those who don't, oh well. It's kind of neat to see what happens and changes in only a months time. A month doesn't seem very long to some, but it can be forever to others. To me, I don't like to think about time and how long it takes to get to a certain point. I think about the "now" and what is going on in the near distant future. But only in this short time span of a month, I already find myself in a different position than last time I was on here writing about something. A month brings out different ideas, different news, different events; whether you have important tests coming up, a hard couple of weeks at work, an exciting place to go, or a new person walking into your life, it can all factor out and play a crucial role in that small gap of time. It's exciting, yet scary. What can the future hold? What can three months bring about? Or better yet, an entire year? There's always going to be good and bad things occurring. It's just the natural part of life and what it has to offer. Whether it's God's plan, or some other higher power, we cannot control it. We just have to learn how to accept it and move on and hope for the best. This month has brought out the best in me, I'd have to say. I've done some very accomplishing things in school, I went on an amazing vacation with two incredible families, and I've grown closer to some special people in my life. School is finally almost over, so the summer will be very exciting and big plans to come for this website and myself. Let's just say I have a new head on my shoulders, and I'm proud to show it. So everyone, have an amazing day and remember to always be positive in life. Stay classy.

Oh yes! If you could check out some of my videos I have done in my film class and let me know what you think, that would be great!

This is my Family Documentary that I created a few weeks ago, (sorry for the audio if it is a little loud).

And this is my short film Narrative Project I just created, (again, sorry for the audio if it is a little low).

A Weekend Full Of Glory

Hello all! Just a friendly reminder that we are still here posting blogs and coming up with ideas for your entertainment. So to anyone that has been reading these posts, we thank you! We appreciate the support. As for videos, I August know that I was very nasty for eating the yogurt and blue cheese, everyone has been giving me hell about it. So, thank you again for watching and we are still coming up with some more ideas for other stupid videos to post.

In other news...if anyone has been reading up lately and saw the countdown posted up a few days ago, then you would know that we had a nice and friendly bet between our good buddies Ryne and Cory. The bet was a match of Halo Reach, them vs me to a score of 50. The countdown was a timer until the game started, which was around midnight Friday night. So as for the game, we played and it took almost two hours to complete. From certain circumstances of my poor decision in map choosing, it was a very close game...but I came out victorious. 50 to 45 was the final score. And now Ryne and Cory will be posting up a very embarrassing picture up on our site as well as Facebook for all to see! So be sure to stay tuned for that here soon and have yourself a good laugh, you deserve it.

And for those Walking Dead fans, how about that episode? It was pretty awesome. Vicious zombies and Rick and Shane had the fight we've all been waiting for with some new questions about loyalty and trust between some of the characters. And what are we gonna do with the new guy?

So let us know what you think or if you have anything else you wanna say, see ya soon. Stay classy.

Oh! And me and my friend Taylor tried eating a spoonful of cinnamon at work yesterday, and apparently I did it wrong. But it was still freaking hot! Anyways, there's a video on our YouTube channel of it, nothing crazy a little silly, but poor camera work from a kitchen guy. Enjoy!

Today I Lived

August here. Today was an amazing day from the minute I woke up. To start the day off, my phone was filled with comments and texts from all of my friends saying how funny and stupid I am for making that video last night (if you haven't checked it out, please do so). After a nice healthy breakfast of cereal, a banana, and orange juice, I had a good 45 minute conversation on the phone with my dad in Philadelphia. So after I caught up with him and felt pretty good, I Skyped with my business partner Jon of course, and played some Halo to practice so I can win Friday's bet between me, Cory, and Ryne. Now today is Wednesday, my third day of classes at ETSU. But on Wednesdays however, I only have one class at 4 o'clock, that last from 4 to 6:50. As interesting as my Philosophy class is, I just wasn't feeling it today. I wanted to go out and do something. I wanted to stay on the computer and watch my video all day. I wanted to play Halo. I wanted to listen to music and talk to my buddies. Plus it was raining, so I was wanting to be lazy.

Around 2 o'clock I was still talking to Jon, and I was just saying how much I didn't want to go to my long class. Of course he told me to just skip, but I felt guilty. I hate missing school or work, or whatever. I'm very responsible to those who do not know me. But over the last few weeks I have had this craving that I had to fill, and today I wanted to fill it. Wednesday's are also of course Wing Wednesdays' at Hooters. All you can eat wings for eleven bucks? You can't beat that. The only problem is, I never have anyone to go with. It's always a conflict in schedule or money with all my buddies, so I never get to go. My other craving was to go see the re-release of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in 3D before it left theaters. Now, I saw this movie when I was a kid in theaters, but I wanted to see it again. First of all, it was in 3D. Second of all, I wanted to be the guy that told his kids that he saw all the re-releases of Star Wars in theaters. But again, another problem occurred. I had no one to go with! It's pretty much like this with everything I do, I just have no one to go with or eat with, whatever, so I just don't do it.

Now I'm not complaining. I'm a positive guy in all aspects. But there was something about today that made me think differently. Why did I have to wait for others to go do something fun? Why couldn't I go do it regardless if anybody's with me or not? There's no rules in society that says so. I wanted to take the day and live for it instead of being cooped up in a lecture that I was bound to fall asleep in. So I decided to go live. I made plans for Hooters and to see Star Wars for the night instead of going to class. I showered, got ready, made sure I looked sharp, and around 4:30 I left to go start my adventure. But I was productive however, I did go to the bank and deposit some money and pay my rent and utility bill for my apartment.

As I was driving I couldn't help but sing to all my favorite songs and not think about those delicious wings I was about to eat. I felt weird going in there alone, but I didn't care. As I arrived and walked in, I felt like everyone was staring at me. The hostess told me to sit wherever I please so I sat in the back. Now I'm not going to run through my entire meal, but lets just say it was perfect. My waitress was extremely kind and cared for my needs, as well as suggested a new flavor of wings that were delicious! (not to mention she was pretty cute too) but besides that, my wings came out so fast I couldn't even finish the plate before hand. I ate three plates and I was stuffed. I left her a good tip, walked out the door, and headed towards the theater.

I walked into the lobby of the theater and found my showing for 7:15. It was another hour until the movie, so I had time to kill. I decided to go to the mall and see what I could find. Already walking into the mall, I ran into a buddy of mine that I haven't seen awhile. So I got to have a good conversation with him before heading on my own. The only store that caught my attention afterwards was PacSun. Here lately I've been trying to change up my wardrobe, so I thought I would check it out and see what was going on. As I went in I heard some of the best indie rock music playing in the background while I looked through some of the clearance items. I saw an awesome deal for buy one, half off the order. So I was like why not. I'm living today. Usually I'm very responsible with my money and I never spend it, but again today was different. So I picked out some nice shirts and I found a pair of skinny jeans that I thought I would try on for the hell of it. I had to ask the girl putting up clothes for opinion how I looked cause I'm very cautious with stuff I wear. She said I looked great, and two others said I did too. So I bought them. But they said if I got that, I could get another one for fifteen dollars. So I bought those too. After that I decided to go to Hot Topic and purchase a new CD, which was Foster The People. (I've been digging them lately) and I even bought a Captain America shirt! I had to leave the mall before I bought anything else.

So finally it was time! Star Wars, at 7:15. I bought me a bottle water and some cookie dough candy and I made myself comfy. As the opening credits rolled I was in awe for a second because this is what I've been wanting to do for awhile now. It wasn't that I was so excited for Star Wars, but it was just the excitement of being able to do whatever I wanted to. I like that freedom sometimes, and I only save it for random occasions. Sometimes I just get tired of living responsibly 24/7. Sometimes I just want to let loose and do whatever I please. So today was my day that I lived. I've been told life is too short to live, so make the best of it. And here lately with all the things I've seen lately on the news, around school, and around my community, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. Life is too short, especially if the 2012 theory is true...but the best part of this entire story is yet to come. As I come home and check my email, I find my Philosophy professor emailing all of her students to say that she was sick, and class was canceled. I couldn't help but grin. So maybe life has a plan for you regardless what you do. Maybe you're meant to do the things you do daily, because everything works out in the end. Always does. So I hope you enjoyed my little story, I thought it was pretty eventful.

Oh! and if you haven't checked out the video of me being stupid, please do so! It's funny :)

The Countdown Has Begun

Hello all! August and Jon here bringing some very cool news, or information of a very cool bet so to speak. Our best friends, Ryne Brown and Cory Harkleroad, are some of the greatest guys we know. So what is better than them helping us advertise our new site, The Movement? I, August, have challenged them to a match of Halo Reach this Friday night at midnight. Yes, it is a little nerdy, get your laughs in. But I will be facing both of them in a 2 vs 1 match with my terms and conditions. If they win, they get any wish for me that they desire. But if I win, they both will be taking a very embarrassing picture to put up on this site and Facebook to show all that The Movement is coming. They will not only support out site but give you all a laugh also.

So with that said, the countdown above is the clock ticking down until this epic event between us as friends. Some of you may not care, but either way there is going to be a few laughs in the end.

OH. And to anyone else that would like to challenge me in Halo anytime, please add me on xbox live :) TripleABattery

Words With Friends

You think you got what it takes to come up with words and beat your friends? Words With Friends is a free application for smart phones and game on Facebook that is a highly addictive and challenging game that puts your skills to the test.

August: For myself, I've been playing Words With Friends since I got a smart phone last year. At first it was very addicting and I couldn't stop playing it with all my buddies. Then I took a hiatus from it for awhile cause my phone sucked...but now that I have an iPhone I've been playing again with my three best friends and of course my mother. As much as I like this game it can be very hard to come up with words right there on the spot and get multipliers to beat your opponents score. And even though I would love to say that I have mad skills and win every time, I get beaten often by my mom and my arch enemy: Jon.

Jon: For me Words with Friends isn't so much a fun pass time but an oppurunity to prove my superiority in matters concerning vocabulary to my three best friends daily. Since getting my Iphone I have played almost daily, and have actually only lost two games. And I would love to be able to call August my arch enemy in Words with Friends, but the truth is he's below my skill and undeserving of the title of arch nemesis. But maybe one day I will find a true nemesis.

August: Hmmm well Jon, you say you've only lost two games? May you remind us all who you lost those two games to? This guy right here. And I don't care if you think I'm below your skill level, cause I know I can beat you if I can just get the right tiles and not be trapped in a corner the whole game. You are my arch nemesis cause you're the only one I have trouble against, plus you like to talk crap during the game! So I believe as your best friend, I should be your arch nemesis as well. And if I am not, then I shall prove to you that I am superior to you someday. Don't mess with the bull son.

Jon: Well Aug, those two games were lost to you I concede to that. But keep in mind that's 2 out of 12 (going on 2 out 14 as we speak) that doesn't make you so much a nemesis as a lucky annoyance. But yet out of 16 games, you've won two it doesn't actually seem like you can beat me without large amounts of luck playing a large factor. And to give context those two games he beat in them by less than 20 points. Yes I do talk crap, it's my mind games and it's incredidibly effective against the weak willed, self doubting players. But as your best friend you have the privilege of being allowed to call me your arch nemsis, as a token of friendship of course. And you my friend are wrong, you're not the bull. I'm the bull, you're little more then a calf at this point son!

Well you can see our differences here, but the point is, Words With Friends is a highly addictive and fun game. Sometimes a little bit aggravating also. But if you think you got what it takes to go up against us then please challenge sometime! You can find us through Facebook, with our user names august.aguilar and I'm awesome91...you can tell who's conceited.
